Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to the wildlife photography exhibition.
My name is Marcus Webb, the curator, and I will introduce the highlights today.
First of all, the exhibition features one hundred and twenty images from thirty countries.
The photographs were selected from more than ten thousand entries submitted this year.
The exhibition was due to open in March, but building work delayed it until May.
Right, moving on to the layout, the landscape section is in the north gallery.
The bird photographs have moved to the east wing, not the basement as in previous years.
Entry costs eight pounds, although concessions pay five pounds and members enter completely free.
Guidebooks used to be free, but they now cost two pounds at the desk.
The winning photograph, showing a snow leopard, was taken by a sixteen year old amateur.
One last thing, the exhibition closes on the twenty eighth, a week earlier than advertised.
Thank you for coming, and please feel free to ask our staff any questions.
