1Good morning residents, and thank you for attending this presentation about the redevelopment of Memorial Park.
2My name is Ellen Morris, and I manage the project on behalf of the city council.
3First of all, the playground will be moved from the north gate to the area beside the lake.
4We had originally planned to keep it near the cafe, but parents asked for a quieter location.
5The work begins in April, not March as stated in the leaflet you may have received.
6During construction, the main entrance will close, so please use the side entrance on Willow Road.
7Right, moving on to the budget, the council has set aside two million pounds for the scheme.
8Around half of this sum will fund new lighting, paths, and drainage rather than new buildings.
9The rose garden, planted in nineteen fifty six, will be fully restored by volunteers from the horticultural society.
10One last thing, the public consultation remains open until the end of September, so please submit your views.
