2The sun warms the water in rivers, lakes and seas.

3This warm water slowly rises into the sky as vapour.

4High above the ground, the vapour becomes very cold again.

5It turns into tiny drops that gather together as clouds.

6When the drops grow heavy, they fall down as rain.

7Some rain falls on mountains and runs into small streams.

8The streams join bigger rivers and travel back to the sea.

9Then the whole journey can begin all over again.

10This endless circle is called the water cycle.
