1Good morning, trustees, and thank you all very much for attending this year's annual report presentation.
2Total donations received from the public for the year reached one point eight million pounds.
3That figure represents an increase of just over eleven percent compared with the previous year.
4Our largest single grant, worth two hundred thousand pounds, came once again from the Hardwick Foundation.
5The Hardwick Foundation, spelt H-A-R-D-W-I-C-K, has generously supported our work for more than a decade now.
6Administrative costs were held to just seven point three percent of our total annual income.
7During the year we funded fourteen community projects across six different regions of the country.
8More than nine thousand four hundred volunteers generously contributed their time to us this year.
9Our adult literacy programme reached three thousand two hundred learners in the last twelve months.
10Seventy eight percent of those participants successfully completed the full twelve week course this year.
11Next year we aim to raise two million pounds and open two new centres in the north.
