2Before we board, I would like to give you some important information about the crossing.
3The ferry to Millport used to leave at two o'clock, but today it leaves at two thirty.
4The crossing takes about forty minutes, depending on the weather conditions at sea.
5Please note that we will board from gate four, not gate two, as printed on your ticket.
6A single ticket costs nine pounds for adults, and children under five travel free.
7If you want to take a bicycle, there is an extra charge of two pounds each way.
8On board, there is a small cafe selling hot drinks, sandwiches and snacks.
9For the best views, go up to the open deck, but please hold on to the rails.
10One final point: the last ferry back from the island leaves at six fifteen sharp.
